Music 101 November 8, 2012 Celebrating John Coltrane On October 24, 2012 I had the pleasance of experiencing an astounding jazz ensemble, The Azar Lawrence Quintet, at Dizzys manage nine (Time-Warner building, Columbus Circle) pay homage to John Coltranes harmony. The pigeonholing consisted of five musicians: a trumpet p arrangeer, saxist (leader of the group, Azar Lawrence), drummer, pianist, and string bassist. The understand took place in a hulking space amply in the Time-Warner building overlooking a beautiful fit Central Park.
